CSC recently completed Phase 1 of the Princess Alexandra Care Home in Stanmore, Middlesex.

The development has a construction cost of £47 million and will consist of a 64 bedroom nursing and dementia home with 16 assisted living studios and 48 one and two bedroom independent living apartments. Plus a dementia day care centre, restaurant, synagogue, shop, hair dresser and leisure facilities.

CSC installed over 8,000m2 of Isocrete K Screed over insulation, resilient layers, DPM and has membranes. The project required considerable attention to detail, as the dividing walls were constructed prior to the insulation and screed.

Two screed teams were deployed for the best part of the duration and included regular visits from our operations manager to drive the project forward. Careful planning and collaboration was required between the M&E, Dry Liner and Screed Contractor to keep the ball rolling.

CSC and McLaughlin and Harvey were pleased with the workmanship and we handed the project over, defect free. We hope to secure Phase 2 in the near future.
