Lidl Caterham: 3 Weeks Cut to 5 Days
Around 2,000m² of flowing screed, nowhere outside to store materials, and a busy high street. The Maverick pulled into a loading bay and pumped the screed straight in.
The challenge
This was a Lidl store on a high street, with around 2,000m² of floor to screed. There was nowhere outside to store materials.
That ruled out the usual setup. The original method would have meant taking bulk bags of sand into the building and mixing the screed inside in pan mixers. It's slow, labour-heavy work, and on this job it meant a 3-week screed programme.

The solution
We brought the batching to the job instead.
The Maverick is our 44-tonne urban artic. It batches screed on the truck, so nothing has to be stored on site. It doesn't need a yard or a compound. It just needs a pit lane.
Here, the pit lane was a loading bay on the high street. The Maverick pulled in, batched the screed and pumped the flowing screed directly into the job. No bulk bags in the building and no pan mixers.
The result
Around 2,000m² was screeded with no materials stored outside, no bulk bags carried in and no mixing inside the building. Forum Contracts got the floor back much sooner for the next trades.
