SCREEDTEST®

Screed Testing Services Include

BRE Drop Hammer Test

The test is carried out to identify whether the set and hardened screed is strong enough to withstand the traffic in service, without breaking down. The test can be effectively used for assessing the requirement for remedial measures in cases where the mix proportions, mixing or compaction are suspected to be inadequate.

Moisture Test

The accurate prediction of drying times of standard screeds often being a difficult task, moisture retention in screeds is a major problem that can disrupt moisture-sensitive floor finishes. Calcium Carbide Method is one of the popular forms of moisture testing where the moisture content of samples are assessed by using carbide moisture meter.

Surface Regularity Test

In compliance with BS8204-1:2003 & A1:2009, the surface regularity of the screed is checked by using a 2m long straightedge laid in contact with the floor surface. Deviations of the floor surface from the underside of the straightedge are measured using a slip gauge.

Laser Level Dip Survey

According to British Standards, a maximum departure of 15mm from datum is considered to be satisfactory for large areas of screed intended for normal purposes, and can be measured by a 2m standard grid, using standard surveying methods.

Level Survey By A Qualified Engineer

Levelling survey is carried out by a qualified engineer, and an assistant using a dumpy level and the measurements are recorded directly in a log book. Digital levels are also widely used for achieving level measurements of high precision

Our Accreditations

CSC Screeding are members of Constructionline, CHAS and Builders Profile where a predefined Health & Safety questionnaire is pre-completed and our clients have direct access to the information. Documents contained in the pre-qualification system are updated throughout the year, ensuring continued compliance. We have focused on developing the business through constant innovation, implementation and collaboration.

We were an early adopter of FORS – gaining Bronze accreditation – as we recognised this would become more widely requested on construction sites.

We are now ready for the business to grow with the increasing demand.
